Food Worth Traveling For…..or To, – Whatever

The quarterly profits posted by oil companies are a slap in the face to all of us. I could rant about this for days as well as the importance of conservation and alternative resources.

Instead I’m going to urge you to use some of that obscenely expensive fuel to take advantage of the opportunities for tasting the incredible variety of food available at cultural and ethnic festivals. Take the whole family and immerse yourselves in another culture for a day. It’s a great opportunity for learning, finding hand made items, art, entertainment, and most of all …… tasting the culinary fruits of the diverse peoples that make up the population of the U.S.A. I love the sights, smells, and sounds of these celebrations.

There are other events featuring artichokes, cheese, beer, whatever your heart could desire. My favorite is the paean to ” The Stinking Rose.” Garlic is, to me, the most wonderful of treats upon my tongue. The Gilroy, Ca festival is the epitomic presentation of ALL things garlic. The list of goodies includes some surprises, too. Imagine garlic flavored nuts, ice cream and beer

Yes, fuel is way expensive, but these events give us the opportunity to feed ourselves, our souls, and our families all at the same time.

A nickel will get you on the subway, but garlic will get you a seat. ~Old New York Proverb

Brings back the memories of ” Johnny Appleseed ” and so many more. It’s like stepping into a ” POST” Magazine cover. Life is good!

    Love you Mom

    Oil Profits.
Living my entire life in So. Louisiana their profits do not bother me as much as the amount of Taxes, that are wasted, we pay not only on fuel, but all taxes in General.

Why do you want me as a stockholder from a just profit?

The majority of the stockholders are small investors, like you and me. Please check your own portfolios very closely, you just might be writing about yourself.
