Summer was always nice.

Oh sure it got hot

damn hot

if you want to know the truth

what with the burners on

and the freezer motors doing their best to keep the ice cream from melting.

Gotta have the ice cream

specially for the kids.

Had the burgers, too

and the dogs.

Yeah, there was chili

And the sun.

Long days

Busy days

Made a livin though

Sometimes I kinda wonder

sittin here in the sun

if maybe I got re – tired

a little paint

a new awning

forgive the yawn

could see the kids again

run around town some

Winter’s coming  -
